Spider-Man Homecoming Trailer #2

Here’s the new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming. So far I’m optimistic about Tom Holland’s performance as Peter and about the overall feel of the film. And it’s hard to imagine that Michael Keaton will be anything but great as the Vulture. It looks like some liberties are being taken with characters and the general storyline (I don’t recall Peter ever knowing Ned Leeds while still in high school), but I’m in favor of a few small changes here and there if they make for a good story and an enjoyable film (or group of films). The tone feels a bit lightweight and childish at first, but I’ve felt that way about other properties before at first, only to change my mind later. Case in point: I really didn’t care for the animated Spectacular Spider-Man series at first, but after watching several episodes it became one of my favorite versions of the character and story.
